Who is Ms Nelson?

I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in History and Secondary Social Studies Education in 2014, and a Masters in Education in 2015.

During my time at UConn I studied Abroad in Maastricht Netherlands. I studied at the University Maastricht College in a school that used Problem Based Learning with a student body made up of students from across the world. I was future enough during this time to travel all around Europe and see the history I have studied first hand!

My favorite extra curricular activity during college was my involvement in Community Outreach Alternative Breaks. I was both a participant and a trip director on these week long emersion programs that travel to different areas of need of the United State to volunteer and team with communities partners to help with issues surrounding the environment, community restoration, homelessness, health, and more. I was also an active member of the Global House learning community, a regular participant in intramural sports, and awarded Allstar in inner tube water polo.

In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors and working on different craft project. Throughout the year you may even get to see some of them...
