Hello! Welcome to the Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) department at HVMS.

FACS is an elective program that covers Food Sciences and Cooking, Household Management, Family Relationships, and Practical Life Skills, such as money management and doing laundry. FACS used to be called Home Economics or Home Ec, but the name was changed 25 years ago.

This year, all FACS courses will be taught completely online through Google Classroom. In past years, students have taken specialized courses focusing entirely on food sciences. In addition to cooking and baking, this year's courses will also focus on helping individuals, families, and communities function at their best.
