Over the last 9 years, my students and I have made a lot of different videos for Rowe Middle School. From raps about when and how to use commas to weekly episodes of the Shamrock News to short films about how our school and what we aim to accomplish, the students have taken an ownership of our learning environment and community. Because of this ownership, our educational culture has become much more positive over the last decade as we spend each year ensuring that we feature students of all races, creeds, ability levels, gender identities, sexual orientations, socioeconomic statuses, and identities so that each Rowe student feels like our Wilbur D. Rowe World is a safe and inviting place.
