I earned my Master's degree from Concordia University with a specialty in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I continued my studies with over 45 post-graduate credits, many of which are in early learning/teaching strategies. Even after a master's degree and other classes, the best and most rewarding learning comes from interacting with students! They continue to amaze me with their insights into the community around them as they live in an ever-changing, digital world.

The best part of teaching school is getting to know each of my students and watching them accomplish hard things. Being a part of the guiding and learning process is fun, especially in kindergarten. We can play and learn at the same time! Students are capable of more than they sometimes know, and I love being on the front row.

When I have free time, you can find me traveling with my family, camping, rafting, cooking, gardening, and watching sports. We also lived in Hawaii for a few years, and it will forever hold a special place in my heart, and still wish I could wear flip flops and a Hawaiian dress every day. I love Thai food, and have recently enjoyed making up Thai recipes and trying them out on my family. I make a yummy peanut sauce. My favorite sport is soccer, and played it for many years, but I am a big Blazer fan, too! #ripcity

I look forward to getting to know each of you better, and know we will make some great memories as we learn together.

Why CWA?

I love teaching at Clackamas Web Academy, and have enjoyed being a part of our great school for six years! Before I came to CWA, I substitute taught in Hawaii and in the North Clackamas School District, until all of my own children were in school. I loved the time being home when they were little, and now, teaching in the "classroom" full-time is so rewarding! When I made the decision to teach full-time, I knew I wanted to be at CWA. It is a unique school with an awesome group of teachers, students and families, who are dedicated to teaching and learning as a team.
