Courses
From 1997-2023, Professor Uzi Baram taught at New College of Florida; the courses are listed below, many with the syllabi
New College of Florida is the State of Florida’s legislatively-designated honors college for the liberal arts. Teaching responsibilities include courses and tutorials, supporting student January intersession projects, and supervising honors theses - my offerings are below, listed chronologically.
For the New College January intersession Independent Study Period courses sponsored, see: Independent Study Projects
All New College students must complete a thesis to graduate, see the list of those I have supervised: Theses supervised

I taught at New College (New College of the University of South Florida, then New College of Florida) from Fall 1997 to Spring 2023. Never easy and seemingly a major crisis or three each academic year and there never were enough resources to support the academic program let alone research. In all, it was a good 25-year run thanks to bright, motivated undergraduates. To end my classroom career, I got to teach two courses that mattered the most to me to close out academic year 2022-23. Below is the history of my courses, with the recent versions of courses including their syllabi and, the most recent, the videos for the mini-classes that are the hallmark of how students get to choose courses - by seeing/hearing/meeting their instructors and getting to ask them questions, it was a grand experiment in student-centered undergraduate education
