AntiSemitism

Teaching at a small liberal arts college, I found myself confronted by anti-Jewish racism (usually labeled anti-Semitism, sometimes antiSemitism) and delving into the phenomenon for personal as well as professional reasons. For the personal, I have been the faculty sponsor for the New College Hillel. Been proud of the role Hillel plays on campus, particularly during a period where anti-religious practices become outrageous and Hillel used its email so Christian students did not have deal with toxic responses. I have been on various campus diversity committees and been the lone voice demanding the College follow state regulations. Professionally, I have given lectures on anti-Jewish racism and am integrating teachings from Jewish tradition into my research and into my publications.
