I develop and support the United Kingdom Chemistry and Aerosols (UKCA) model, based in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. I have organised and run UKCA training for the past 6 years.
I enjoy helping others in their research, and I am interested in how new technologies can be used to do this. My recent work has involved using a Virtual Machine to provide a common training and development environment for UKCA.
I want to make UKCA as accessible and easy to use as possible. I would like for more people to become involved in providing new code to the model.
As it is part of the Met Office Unified Model, UKCA is changing all the time, and so I must continually ensure that the training and support for the model is up to date.
