Subject: Introducing the HELPme App
Dear NBTSchools Families,
We are excited to introduce the HELPme app – a 24/7 support system for students, families, and school employees that allows every member of our school community to seek support whenever they need it, while remaining completely anonymous!
The HELPme app provides two ways for our school community to ask for and receive help:
GET RESOURCES is a safe space for users to explore essential needs and wellness resources at their own pace, such as food, shelter, and mental health. It provides a confidential way to connect with local, state, and national resources, ensuring privacy and dignity for those seeking assistance.
CRISIS TEXT LINE provides users with immediate mental health support. With a network of 27,000+ trained crisis counselors, users can text with a counselor (day or night), making sure no one feels isolated in their time of need. Counselors are available 24/7, 365 days of the year to help.
For example:
Students battling bullying or depression
Families requiring essentials like food or housing
School employees navigating stressful times
Anyone grappling with personal challenges
The health and wellbeing of our students is extremely important to us. We want them to know that they can easily access options to help themselves or find someone who can assist them in a crisis. Soon, our teachers will introduce students to the HELPme app, so they will know how to find, download, and navigate the app. Soon, students will see the app available to them on their school-issued Chromebooks.
Getting Started with HELPme:
1. Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Select your school from the dropdown menu or enter the code provided by the school.
3. Accept the Terms & Conditions.
We kindly encourage all parents to download the app. HELPme is not only a support system for your children, but also for YOU.

Wellness Initiative - THRIVE Program
2023-2024 School Year
SMART GOAL: By May 2024, North Brunswick Township staff will expand the interventions of the tiered levels of support in order to address the mental health needs of all learners.
This will be done by assessing the student’s levels of need using a universal screener, referral process and implementation of research based interventions while monitoring progress in order to determine efficacy.
See below for an important parent notification regarding the North Brunswick Township Wellness Assessment for all students PK-Grade 12.
