How to change the name of the class
Click on the gear icon on the top right of the page.

How to customize the background
Click on the customize button at the top of the banner.
2. From here, select a photo from their photo gallery or upload your own banner. You can also change the color scheme of the class.
If you want to make your own banner, I'd recommend using Canva. I would be happy to help you create a unique class banner.
Be sure to click SAVE when you are done.
How to post an announcement
Click on "Announce something to your class"
2. Type the message you want to send.
Notice across the bottom, you have options for attaching documents to your posting. You can even link in videos or other materials.
3. Next decide which classes should receive the message. If you have duplicated classes, you can post to all the classes at the same time.
You can also select which students should receive the message. It will default to ALL STUDENTS.
4. If you want to post you announcement immediately, simply click POST
However, if you want the announcement to post later, click on the dropdown menu next to POST. Select SCHEDULE. Now you can pick the day & specific time you want the announcement to go out.
Previously, if the announcement was "scheduled", you couldn't post to multiple classes at the same time, they would need to be done individually. This might have changed with updates to the system.
Adding Administrators and Viewing your Students
Across the top of the page, click on PEOPLE.
To add administrators, across from the TEACHERS, click on the "+". Type in the administrators name, highlight the person you want, then click INVITE on the bottom right side of the screen.
The students should already be added from syncing with Synergy. Here is where you can view all their names.
If you didn't have Google Classroom synced with Synergy, you'll need to give the students the access code, then they will have to join the class. The access code is on the home screen for each individual class.
