Steps you can take to prevent the spread of flu and the common cold will also help prevent COVID-19:
Wash hands often with soap and water. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid contact with people who are sick.
Stay home while you are sick and avoid contact with others.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
Get flu and COVID-19 vaccines.
What should I do if I have COVID?
There is no standard quarantine period; you should stay home and isolate from others if you have a fever and/or are feeling sick
You may return to school when you are fever-free for 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medication AND your symptoms are improved
You must wear a mask indoors for 5 days once the above criteria has been met
If you test positive with no symptoms, you must wear a mask indoors x 5 days after the date of the test
COVID-19 can have many symptoms.
Many of these symptoms can be shared with other illnesses.
Taking a COVID test is the only way to be sure and to protect others from getting sick.
