Linguistics and Language Laboratory 

The LaLaLab is a dedicated space for undergraduate and graduate students at Cal Poly Pomona to engage in hands-on linguistics- and language-related research.  The lab houses Computerized Speech Lab (CSL), a medical-grade speech analysis program for high quality recording and speech visualization.   The lab additionally offers fully-functioning stations for students to work on their research and/or class projects.  Each computer has the speech analysis program PRAAT installed for students to perform acoustic speech analyses.  Computers are also equipped with TreeForm for syntactic analyses.  Research equipment is available for students to check out on a case-by-case basis.  An in-house library with reference books spanning many linguistic areas is also available to students.
