About Ms. Zinnecker
This is my fourth year at MVHS and I’m excited to be returning as a science teacher and as the MV Mustang Cheer Coach (whenever sports resume)!
I spent five years in Flagstaff and was born in Ganado, but consider Spring Creek Nevada to be home. It's a small town in northern Nevada, right next to the beautiful Ruby Mountains!
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from NAU and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Science Teaching, also from NAU. I'm currently working on a Master of Science in Chemistry with an Emphasis in Education from Grand Canyon University.
During my time at NAU, and in high school, I was an active member of marching and pep band and I play clarinet and alto sax. I also enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, watching anime, and playing video games!
I have a German shepherd mix named Freyja and a lab mix named Edison who is hard of hearing. Fun fact, Freyja is Old Norse for "Lady" and is a goddess associated with love, beauty, war, and death. In Norse mythology Freja rides a chariot pulled by two cats, which is fitting since I also have a black cat named Loki!
