International Auditing in Hong Kong

Abstract:

My internship was international auditing in Hong Kong. I was able to work with many different firms throughout Hong Kong and work on creating their financial statements. I created various auditing documents and traveled to these various firms to check their books. I gained a better understanding of not only Hong Kong auditing but international auditing. I learned real hands-on work that is impossible to truly learn in class and this experience will help me be better equipped in my accounting career in the future.  I went to work from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and did this from January 25th through May 12th. Through this internship, I was able to learn a lot and improve my accounting skills. I also gained meaningful connections with coworkers and higher-ups that helped me be better connected in the accounting world and the business industry in Hong Kong.
