My research interests lie in the following areas:
· Structural and functional aspects of transmembrane signaling regulated by GPCRs and trimeric G proteins.
· Mechanisms of potential cardioprotective effects of opioids, chronic hypoxia, and cold aclimation.
· Drugs of abuse – mechanism of drug tolerance and dependence; oxidative stress, apoptosis and potential cytoprotective effects of drugs.
· Neurodegeneration, senescence, and neurotransmitter systems..
· Modulation of circadian clock function.
