PACT School From Home Plan

Just Keep Swimming!

Coronavirus Update

Good Evening PACT Families,

As many of you have already heard, Natomas Charter School campuses are closed until further notice. PACT staff members are working hard to support students and families as they continue to learn from home. Please pay careful attention to updates and instructions as things are changing regularly. We are working to keep everything as normal as possible with the exception of on-site workshops. Your Educational Adviser will be reaching out to you weekly to ensure that you are okay and making adequate progress. All in-person field trips and events have been cancelled or put on hold at this time.

Finally, I want to take a moment to appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate this never-before-encountered situation. I appreciate each of you and all you do to make it an honor to work at PACT. Just keep swimming!

Healthy Habits Reminders

We encourage all students, staff, and families to follow the recommended guidelines from the California Department of Public Health to protect themselves and those around them from any virus including respiratory viruses like COVID-19. Please review these with your students:

  • Cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.

  • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Stay away from work, school or other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms like fever and cough.

During our extended school closure, Natomas Unified School District is providing free meals to all families for children 18 and under between the hours of 11:30 am and 12:30 p.m. beginning this Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3. This includes Natomas Charter School families.

These meals will be available for free to anyone 18 and under regardless of what school they attend. No paperwork is required. Children must be present in order for meals to be provided. Meals will be provided based on the number of children present.

This program will be solely for the pick up of meals, and meals will not be consumed on-site. We encourage families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by not congregating at the school site and utilizing social distancing once meals have been distributed. You may pick up a meal at any location. Additional information can be found by following this link.
