May Principal’s Message

Dear Mustang Family,

It is hard to believe that this year is coming to an end! I have enjoyed our Mustang family so much and the addition of PreK and K has been such a blessing to us all! I am proud of the work we have put in all year and I look forward to celebrating all of our accomplishments. Here are a few dates and reminders to help keep us all on track this busy month of May.

Field Day is Wednesday, May 18th, 2022.

A remind has been sent by homeroom teachers to address dress code and supplies.

Families are invited to picnic with their students on Field day

Kindergarten – 4th grade picnic 10:30 – 11:30

5-8th grade picnic 11:30 – 12:30

Awards programs are Friday, May 20th in the upper gym

8th grade graduation 9am

1st – 4th grade 11:30 – 12:30

5th – 7th grade 12:30 – 1:30 (including National Junior Honor Society Induction ceremony)

$50 supply fee deadline is Thursday, June 2nd. Please make checks payable to Natchitoches Magnet School. Please write the students’ names in the memo portion of the check. You will be given a receipt. You will need to keep this receipt in case there is a discrepancy.

Yearbooks will arrive in the summer. We will have a day in July for a yearbook signing party!

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of working with your students. It is an honor to be a part of your village! Enjoy your summer time with your kiddos and remember to encourage them to read over the summer, and get plenty of exercise and fun in the sun!
