In a thrilling come-from-behind game, the Hornets were so close to beating the Central Cougars in the semifinal game of the Class 2A Regionals hosted by Carlyle High School on Wednesday, 2/26/25. Down by 16 points at one point in the game, the Hornets kept playing trading points and holding onto only a 2-point deficit, but unfortunately they just couldn't pull through losing to Central 38 - 36. The Hornets end their strong season with a record of 22 - 10. Congratulations, gentlemen, on your season.
Best of luck to all the senior players, including Brance Luessenheide, Ty Schoenherr, Griffin Briles, Parker Schoenberg, Ethan Pinski, Isaac Blazier, and Will Diedrich.

Stingers Season Ends
The NCHS Stingers made quite a buzz this 2024 - 2025 season qualifiying for both IHSA and IDTA State. Most recently the Stingers traveled to Springfield on February 14 - 15 to complete in IDTA State. While the results were not what they hoped as they earned fourth place in Hip Hop, they are rightfully proud of their tremendous season. On their social media page, they thanked local sponsors for their support of their State ventures, including The Bakery Nook, Jamie's Tumbling, Riechmann's, Modern Edge Salon and Spa, and Doehring's Pharmacy. Congratulations, ladies, on a fabulous season.
If you are interested in trying out for the 2025 - 2026 Stingers Team, see Mrs. Jen Maschhoff in her classroom to get signed up.
