This year’s NCAA tournament, March Madness, was accompanied by both surprises and expectations.
In the men’s tournament, Saint Peter’s, a 15 seed, made it all the way to the Elite 8, where they were defeated by North Carolina, an eight-seed. However, it was an incredibly impressive and unexpected result for them to have gotten that far in the first place. They beat Kentucky, a 2 seed, in the first round. In the end, Kansas won the men’s tournament, beating North Carolina 72-69.
Meanwhile, the women’s tournament was won by South Carolina, who beat University of Connecticut 64-49. The tournament had some unexpected results, but overall, few could be surprised by the way it ended, with the top-seeded school winning.
