Since the COVID-19 pandemic, people have been trying to find new ways to safely express themselves. The best and most efficient way to do this is to join clubs that attract our interests! Photography, Yarnivores, Book Swap, and Thoughts to Words already exist, but what about art as a whole? What about pencil and paper, charcoal, watercolor, and even canvas art? Analliss Castillo '25 and I are thinking of starting a club specifically for that.
Learning the ways of traditional and digital art are important skills and can even be a way to earn money. There are also so many different ways to draw, and developing your own art style is an exciting journey. Our plan is to have a theme for each month and have smaller themes that we would work on every week. If our theme for the month is cartoons, for example, we would focus on aspects such as animation and character design. Hopefully, we will all discover and learn new art forms and techniques together!
Below is a Google Form that asks for student opinions. If you did not fill it out over email, we would appreciate it if you do so! Even if you are not interested, please fill in the form and just answer “no.” Thank you for your time!
