As the students of Nardin Academy can testify, Advanced Placement (AP) classes at Nardin are challenging to say the least. In curiosity of the most demanding class options, I interviewed a variety of students and asked each person the same question: “What is the hardest AP class you have taken at Nardin and why?”
To me, the hardest AP class I have taken was AP United States History because of the hefty amounts of content, but you do not have to take my word for it…
Take it from the students of Nardin Academy themselves:
The students of Nardin Academy have spoken, and, evidently, the hardest AP class is AP United States History, but why?
Here is the reasoning behind the student’s votes:
Cecelia Donoghue and Hanna Adymy both voted for AP Environmental Science. Cecelia said “there was a lot of work,” and Hanna said “there are a lot of things that happen in the atmosphere that you’re unable to see and labs are complicated.”
Fiona Beck and Malia Dockery both voted for AP United States History. Fiona said “it is so fast paced,” and Malia said “it dated back way before the founding of the nation up until current events, so it was a lot of information to retain.”
Reese Benchley voted for AP European History because “the content was hard to memorize and understand.”
Elizabeth Beaton and Mary Cannata voted for AP United States Government and Politics. Mary’s reasoning was because “it goes into very small details about current events that you have to tie together.” Elizabeth said “the content is repetitive and hard to remember.”
Georgia Lambros and Marie Charest both voted for AP Calculus BC. Georgia said “there is a lot of content,” and Marie said “the pace moves so quickly, and the concepts are sometimes pretty challenging to grasp.”
From the survey responses, it is clear that AP United States History stands out as the most challenging AP course at Nardin Academy. While every AP course requires dedication, the results prove that AP United States History demands the greatest commitment from those who take it.
