Canisius High School Presents: Damn Yankees!

Despite an unfortunate change of show in the beginning of the audition process, Canisius High School will be putting on a production of Damn Yankees! on March 17, 18, and 19 at 7pm. Damn Yankees! tells the story of Joe Boyd who is a passionate fan of the baseball team, the Washington Senators, who cannot seem to beat the New York Yankees. Out of frustration, Joe exclaims that he would sell his soul to have the Senators win the Pennant.

Enter Mr. Applegate, who takes Joe up on his offer. Applegate transforms Joe into a young, talented baseball player to help the Senators in their dismal season. Will the Senators win the Pennant? What tricks does Mr. Applegate have up his sleeve to keep Joe’s soul forever? Find out all this and more at Canisius’ production of the fun-filled comedy Damn Yankees! in March, featuring three Nardin students: Lenore Brown, Greta Golembiewski, and Charlotte Nelson.
