This course will teach students how to work with oil, watercolor and acrylics to create a variety of paintings. Assignments may include traditional still life, landscapes and abstract work based on the elements and principles of design. This is a course focusing on materials and techniques used in painting. This is for the student who has an interest in art and wishes to extend his/her artistic abilities.
Prerequisite: Drawing 1 or Introduction to 2D Art & Design
This course will focus on painting using the medium of choice. Students have the opportunity to choose what they paint and enrich their painting skills in watercolor, oil, or acrylic. Painting 2 is intensive, rigorous and is designed for the serious student who has a strong desire to advance their painting skills.
