Salisbury University is our first visit this year on Tuesday 9/8 at 1:30 in room A144- come hear about the programs the college offers, admission criteria, and more! Reach out to Mrs. Driscoll with any questions.Â
Middle Schoolers are you interested in Art Club? Middle School Art club will be during 3rd period during semester 1 and semester 2 if you are not enrolled in a credited class during that period. Spaces are limited. Please see Mrs. Bergquist if you are interested in signing up.
We want YOU to try out for this year's musical, Little Women! Fellas, don't let the title fool you, as there are plenty of male roles as well!
Audition sign-ups are in Mr Mindte's room (D131), the choir room, and ask Mr Mindte to invite you to the Drama Club Google Classroom to get access to the audition materials!
If you are interested in stage crew, hair & makeup, costumes, tech crew, painting, or any other behind-the-scenes work, there are no auditions, just let Mr Mindte know that you are interested. We hope to see you all there!
Parents may write notes to request that their child's absence be excused due to illness for up to a total of 5 days for the school year. Â
If you know of an absence that is not illness-related is upcoming, you may complete an Advance Absence Form that can be found on the Wicomico County Public School's website under the "Attendance Procedure" tab for parents and students. Our front office staff will also provide you with the form upon request. Mrs. Hastings may excuse up to 3 days for the year using this form.
Reminder: Any student who accumulates five or more unexcused absences during either semester will be required to complete an Attendance Intervention Plan (AIP) to avoid failing the corresponding marking term (Term 2 for first-semester absences or Term 4 for second-semester absences).
As part of the AIP, students must attend after-school intervention sessions totaling two hours for each unexcused absence, beginning with their fifth unexcused absence.
Wicomico County Public Schools is implementing a “Bell to Bell, No Cell” policy beginning with the first bell of the 2026–2027 school year.
Students may not use personal electronic devices from the first bell through dismissal, including lunch, passing periods, and school activities.
Devices including cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds/headphones, and other communication or recording devices must be powered off or silenced and stored out of sight.
Students may use personal devices before the first bell and after dismissal.
School issued technology will continue to be used for instruction when directed by staff.
The policy supports a safer, more focused, and distraction-free learning environment and aligns with Maryland’s new phone-free schools law.
