Connection. Community. Success.
Dr. Savage's Vision
"To cultivate authentic relationships where every staff member and student feels valued, seen, and heard, creating a community where all can thrive and achieve success.”
Next week is Start with Hello Week! Start with Hello week is a campaign by Sandy Hook Promise, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to educate and empower youth and adults to
prevent violence in schools, homes and communities. Loneliness and depression
can cause children and youth to pull away and, in serious situations, even hurt
themselves or others. #StartWithHelloWeek teaches students
to be more inclusive and connected to each other. If you see someone alone,
reach out and START WITH HELLO!
A Message from Dr. Savage
As we move into Start with Hello Week, I want to take this opportunity to share a few important reminders that help keep our school safe, welcoming, and focused on learning:
Medication Reminder: Students should not carry medication of any kind. All medicines must be arranged and stored through the nurse’s office for safety and proper care.
Lateness to School: Arriving on time is essential to ensure a smooth start to the day. Please note that lateness is now being counted. Students will receive a referral to the office on their 4th lateness and for each lateness after that.
Vaping Policy: Vaping is not tolerated on school grounds. It is both a health and safety concern, and consequences will follow if students are found with or using vaping devices. Please take a moment to discuss this with your child. (See the attached “No Vaping” message image.)
Handling Conflict: If students experience a conflict at school, they are expected to seek help from a teacher, counselor, or administrator rather than trying to handle it on their own. We encourage students to use respectful communication and problem-solving strategies so situations can be resolved safely and positively.
Looking ahead, we invite you to join us for Back-to-School Night on Monday, September 22, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about their school experience. We will hold a PTSA meeting at 5:30.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school safe and positive. Together, we can help all students feel connected and ready to learn.

Weapons Detection System
Safety is a top priority. It is our plan that, when possible we will have our weapons detection system set up to scan those entering our building. Keep this in mind if you are visiting or if your student comes in when the system is set up.
Afternoon Car Pick Up Procedure
For a smoother pickup process, please pull up as far as possible past the anchor. As the line advances, continue to move forward to close any gaps. This helps us get students into your vehicle safely and keeps traffic from backing up onto College Avenue. You may also pick your student up using the student lot (enter by the auditorium) to ease congestion in the main lot.
