Technique
Left Hand Position: Is the student holding their instrument the correct way? Are their fingers and wrist in the correct placement?
Right Hand Position & Tone: Does the student have a correct bow hold? Is the student moving their arm so that the bow is parallel to the bridge?
Rehearsal & Performance
Performer Etiquette: Is the student respectful and responsible as a performer?
Audience Etiquette: Is the student respectful and responsible as an audience member?
Quality of Participation in Rehearsal: Does the student have their orchestra materials for class every day? Is the student being a good teammate for their peers?
Self-Evaluation: Is the student actively reflecting on their practice and performance?
