According to Evergreen Environmental, nearly 100% of e-waste is recyclable.Unfortunately, most of the e-waste produced globally is not properly recycled. Proper e-waste recycling recovers many nonrenewable resources and prevents thousands of toxic chemicals from seeping into our soil and water. Chemicals such as lead, cadmium, and mercury found in e-waste are extremely hazardous to our health. The goal for SPI is to provide an opportunity for safe and responsible recycling of obsolete, unused or unwanted electronics.
The City provides more than 350 trash receptacles at every bay ending, beach access, throughout the City and the beach.
Always put your trash in a proper container. If one is not available, hold on to your garbage until you find one.
