September 16 Early Voting by Personal Appearance begins Sept. 16, 2026, and ends on Sept. 29, 2026, at SPI Community Center. Mon – Fri. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
September 22 Last day to receive applications (Received, not postmarked) for early voting by mail; the application must be received by 5:00 p.m.
September 25 Due date for filing 2nd report of Candidate/Officeholder Campaign Finance Report (Form C/OH).
September 29 Last day of Regular Early Voting by Personal Appearance.
October 3 ELECTION DAY – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Community Center, 4501 Padre Boulevard.
October 3 Last day to receive a ballot by mail. (Saturday, October 3, 2026 (Election Day) at 7:00 p.m. if carrier envelope is NOT postmarked, OR Monday, October 5, 2026 (next business day after Election Day) at 5:00 p.m. if the carrier envelope is postmarked by 7:00 p.m. at the location of the election on Election Day (unless overseas or military voter deadlines apply)

October 6-14 Possible date to call Special City Council meeting where Canvass of Election Returns will be conducted if no outstanding military, overseas, provisional ballots, or ballots contained in defective carrier envelopes that were or could be corrected by voters remain to be counted otherwise a Special City Council Meeting can be called between October 6, 2026 through October 14, 2026.
