The Environment: Expect a high-energy, professional atmosphere. The areas will be divided based on Enlistment, Enrollment, and Employment.
The Noise Level: It will be busy! Be prepared to speak clearly and project your voice when introducing yourself to partners.
The Goal: Your mission is to collect at least 3 business cards and make one meaningful professional connection.
5–10 Printed Resumes: Even if you have a QR code, some recruiters prefer paper.
A Charged Phone: To scan recruiter QR codes or look up booth locations.
A Pen & Small Notebook: To jot down names or follow-up instructions.
A Professional Outfit: Dress for the job you want, not the one you have.
How to actually talk to the people at the booths:
The Approach: Wait for a natural break in conversation. Don't interrupt a recruiter talking to another student.
The Handshake & Intro: Smile, make eye contact, and use your Elevator Pitch (see the Student Resources page).
The Question: Ask one of your 'Top 10 Questions' (see the Student Resources page).
The Exit: Thank them for their time and ask for a business card or the best way to follow up.
