Your child will need certain supplies in order to be successful in 5th grade. The PTA has purchased many of these, but if you would like to donate any, here are the suggested supplies for this year.

Learn Zillion

What is LearnZillion:

LearnZillion is a website with a database of over 2,000 short, teacher created and STANDARDS BASED VIDEO LESSONS. The videos are broken down by grade level, by subject area (Math or ELA), and by standard. This breakdown makes searching for a video on a specific topic easy to do.

Who Can Use The Site:

Anyone really! Although it was created primarily for teachers, parents, and students, however, homeschoolers would also greatly benefit. The best news is that Learnzillion is 100% FREE to use.

Who Makes The Videos:

A “Dream Team”. LearnZillion videos are created by a special group of 200 teachers called the “Dream Team”. This group of exceptional teachers are hand selected from a large group of candidates applying for the position. They come from over 42 different states and represent district, private, public, and charter school teachers.

I have been teaching for 15 years.

I am a mom of 3 boys (24, 22, 19).

I love the beach 🏝and I love to travel ✈️

It wasn't that long ago that I was right where you are with the busy, sometimes chaotic, schedules.

I do not believe that kids were made to sit in seats. They need to get up and move around.

Differentiated instruction is a must. I use the workshop model with small group instruction to meet the individual needs of my students.

Helping a student to discover their love for reading is a privilege that I never get tired of.

School should be fun! We will have fun in my class!

My goals for each student is that they will reach their individual potential while getting the best education possible, and that they will be excited about learning. I come to school everyday excited to learn, and I hope your child will too!
