Elementary Schools

Clay County District Schools is dedicated to creating and offering a robust education designed to fit every child’s and parent’s needs. As such, Clay County offers several School Choice options at the elementary level and will continue to strive to create additional opportunities for all students.

Orange Park Elementary

Orange Park Elementary is a concept school in which all families must sign a commitment agreement. One of the OPE commitments is completing a minimum of 9 hours of volunteer work each year; volunteer hours may only be completed by the parents or grandparents.

Cambridge Primary

Argyle Elementary, Charles E. Bennett, Fleming Island, Keystone Heights, and Plantation Oaks Elementary Schools offer Cambridge Primary. Cambridge Primary gives schools a world-class curriculum to develop learner skills and understanding in English, mathematics and science, while fostering an accelerated learning option. 

Currently Argyle, Fleming Island, Keystone Heights, and Plantation Oaks Elementary Schools are at capacity and do not have any School Choice seats available. Please visit the Controlled Open Enrollment page for schools with space availability.

Swimming Pen Creek Elementary

The teachers and administrators of Swimming Pen Creek Elementary have been trained in this highly student-centered program. Swimming Pen Creek Elementary will have a Pre-K through sixth grade program by the school year 2020-21.

Coppergate Elementary

Coppergate School of the Arts offers a wide array of arts options for students. Dance instruction includes creative movement, improvisation and choreography.  All students receive instruction in general music class including singing, playing instruments, and creating music. Drama instruction includes basic acting skills, improvisation and script writing along with appropriate performance skills and strategies. The Visual Arts program allows for students to paint, sculpt, and improvise projects that develop skills required to learn and apply elements and principles of art. 

After school clubs allow students to focus on their talents and prepare for productions and community events.
