AP classes
As the snow slowly melts and sickness fills the air, our guidance counselors start bombarding us with emails and meetings about next year's classes. Teachers especially start approaching our sophomores and juniors about AP classes. From AP psychology to AP art students here at Milton have many choices in front of us for APs.
ENGLISH:
AP Language+Composition
Emphasizes rhetorical analysis, argumentation, and synthesis of information from multiple sources.
AP Liiterature+Compostion
Focuses on literary analysis, interpretation of texts, and understanding of literary techniques.
SCIENCE:
AP Biology
Explores fundamental concepts in biology, including cell structure, genetics, evolution, and ecology.
AP Physics
Introduces fundamental concepts in classical physics, including kinematics, dynamics, and energy.
MATH:
AP Calculus
Covers differential and integral calculus, including limits, derivatives, and integrals.
AP Statistics
Focuses on data analysis, probability, and statistical inference.
SOCIAL STUDIES
AP United States History
Surveys American history from pre-Columbian societies to the present day.
AP Psychology
Introduces fundamental concepts in psychology, including biological bases of behavior, cognition, and social psychology.
AP United States Gov. & Politics
Analyzes the structure, function, and behavior of the U.S. government and political systems.
WORLD LANGUAGES
AP German Language & Culture
Develops language proficiency and cultural understanding in German.
COMPUTER SCIENCE/ TECHNOLOGY
AP computer science
Introduces computational thinking, programming concepts, and computer science principles.
VISUAL ARTS
AP Studio Art
Allows students to create artwork portfolios demonstrating proficiency in drawing, 2-D design, or 3-D design.
