Parents/Guardians,
To prepare for the likelihood that Lafourche Parish will be in Phase 2 or Phase 3 at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, Lafourche Parish School District is providing each student with the option to attend school in-person or to participate in virtual education.
In the virtual education option, students would have access to high quality instruction while at home. Teachers would provide daily instructional opportunities for students through pre-recorded videoed lessons, activities, and tests for students to complete and return. Grades assigned will be used to determine if students pass to the next grade level or receive credit for the course.Â
Every parent or guardian is asked to complete the below questionnaire to inform us of your choice of educational options for your child in the upcoming school year. This information will allow our schools to accurately plan for the number of students learning at school and at home. Deadline for submission is on July 17, 2020. Parents are reminded of the following requirement if the learning option is the classroom (at school): wearing masks, limited bus transportation and frequent hand-washing
If you have any questions about what option may be best for your child, or need more information about virtual learning, please contact your school’s principal before completing this questionnaire. For more information on the re-opening of schools, you may refer to Lafourche Parish School’s Return-to-School Plan, which was posted to our Facebook page and website on July 1st.
Thank you!
