Research Interest: Flood Hydrology, Socio Hydrology, Risk Analysis, Disaster Risk Reduction

Our work involves the development and testing of a large-scale flood inundation modeling system for streamflow and riverine flood forecasting designed to remain robust and operational even in data-scarce regions.

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay, with a research focus on riverine flooding and the development of strategies to mitigate the impacts of extreme flood events while also exploring their potential benefits. My work aims to deepen the understanding of flood-generating processes and to design effective, preferably nature-based, solutions to reduce flood risk and loss of life. This research experience continues to strengthen my technical and analytical skills, enabling me to pursue innovative and practical solutions in flood risk management.

In addition to my current research role, I have previously served as an Assistant Professor at Shobhit University and Suresh Gyan Vihar University. These positions provided valuable experience in teaching, supervising student research, and handling academic and administrative responsibilities. I have also worked in the GIS industry, where I gained practical insights into the application of geoinformatics for solving real-world environmental and engineering problems.
