Library Media Services is looking for approximately four elementary, three middle and two high school library media coordinators to serve on a School Library Advisory Committee (SLAC) for the 2025-26 school year. Ideally, the committee members will also represent all Zones.
Responsibilities will include attending meetings, giving feedback on library media services procedures, practices and plans, and communicating with and seeking input from other SLMCs in assigned Zones.
This is a voluntary opportunity - compensation is not available at this time but CEU credit may be able to be offered.
Please indicate your interest in being selected by filling out the form below. Selections will be made based on grade level representation, Zone distribution, and availability.
Meetings dates:
September 10, October 8, November 12, December 10, January 14, February 11, March 18, April 8, May 13
Required renewal credits for Student Services Personnel =
4 Professional Discipline Area (Academic) credits
4 General credits
The rule of thumb is that any "overage" in any CEU category will automatically default to general credit. Please refer to the Professional Learning Portal for more information.
Blended Learning and Technology Services offer additional trainings relevant to SLMCs and school staff.
When completing the Professional Development Plan in September, SLMCs can refer to these example PDP goals.
