GCS uses Open-Up Resources (authored by Illustrative Mathematics) for NC Math 2. It is broken up into several units. Clicking on the unit icons below will take you to the Open-Up Family Materials, where you can see more specifics on what the Learning Focus is for each lesson, unit by unit.

For additional support with independent practice problems:
Help, Hints, and Explanations (HHE) videos and documents were designed to support the Ready, Set, Go independent practice problems located in the student workbooks for every lesson. HHE videos have animated and verbal explanations for students, providing visual and auditory assistance. HHEs are available for each Open Up High School Mathematics course. Guilford County Schools has purchased licenses for these videos for all students. Contact your child’s teacher or the GCS Math Department for log in information.
