The Career Fair is a fantastic way to provide our students with firsthand knowledge of potential career paths. This is also a great way for you to get involved and make an impact on our future leaders. We are looking for volunteers interested in presenting your career in a fun and interactive way!

What is the Career Fair like?
The Career Fair is structured so students can walk around and speak to different Career guests of interest. We ask guests to prepare an interactive table or presentation to share with students. We invite you to bring tools you may use on a day-to-day basis to interact with students. Each class will have 20-30 minutes to spend at the Career Fair.
Students are prepared with questions to ask about your Careers and encouraged to speak to at least 4-5 guests.
Please do not worry about preparing a 30-minute presentation as students will guide the discussion with their career questions. We are hoping you can join us for the day or just a portion of the day.
How to Prepare for the Career Fair?
There are several ways you can prepare for the career fair! Guests are asked to prepare an interactive table or presentation to share with students. We invite you to bring tools you may use on a day-to-day basis to interact with students. Some presenters create a tri-fold presentation board, use a computer to present a slide show, or bring materials that are used every day on the job. I have provided a few examples below to give you an idea of what has been done in the past. Feel free to be creative

Background Check
Please submit a Commerical Background Check if have not volunteered in Anne Arundel County Public Schools in the last 2 years. A Commercial Background Check takes up to 3 weeks to process.
Volunteers new to the county must complete a Commerical Background Check and review the Sexual Harassment and Child Abuse Training Module. Once you have reviewed the module please submit the verification form.
