Faculty Development, housed in our newly renamed Faculty Affairs Success and Equity office, offers support services related to teaching, research and creative activities, more collegial practices that value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and career success and excellence for all of our faculty. Below are some of the opportunities available to new and continuing faculty. To discuss these and other offerings, please feel free to reach out to Jules Balén, Faculty Development Director, or Stacey Anderson, Faculty Development Coordinator. Faculty Development is here to help you reach your goals!

Faculty Development is thrilled to offer six incredible Faculty Inquiry Projects (FIPs) in Spring 2022. FIPs are facilitated by your colleagues. You'll join a small community interested in similar questions to discuss, problem solve, and share ideas. FIPs participants will receive a badge to document ongoing professional development work.
Groups will meet 5-8 times throughout the semester; some will meet in Zoom and others will meet in-person. Participants are asked to commit to attending at least 80% of the meetings. Each group needs a minimum of 3 participants to run (capacity varies). If your desired group is full, we may contact you to see if you have a second choice. Participants should expect some preparation between sessions.
Please read the descriptions on this page to learn about each FIP. Then visit this link to apply to be a participant! For questions, please email Stacey Anderson, Faculty Development Coordinator, at stacey.anderson@csuci.edu.

Join your fellow CSUCI faculty for our monthly conversations via Zoom. Bookmark this page to access the Zoom link and explore topics and resources. We'll begin each gathering with the topic listed and then open the floor to discussion of topics of interest to those who come. We hope that you will let us know what you would most like to discuss. When and if we are able, we will offer in-person options, which will be noted on the page.
All faculty are encouraged to enroll in our new Faculty Development Canvas Site. This site is constantly being updated with resources and opportunities and provides a space for colleagues to connect with one another. Your feedback as we refine this site is always welcome!
