The application we will be using to collect data and identify species is iNaturalist.
iNaturalist is an online social network of people sharing biodiversity information to help each other learn about nature. It's also a crowdsourced species identification system and an organism occurrence recording tool.
The app is completely free to download. All you will need to do is make an account before you can start using it.

Promoting the protection and restoration of bird populations and wildlife habitat for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biodiversity. Where students, through activism, volunteering, and community involvement, can increase their educational and personal growth.
Dedicated to raising environmental awareness on campus and throughout the community; the Green Generation Club works to establish CI as a positive environmental example through the promotion of education and awareness. We advocate for sustainable development and initiating campus environmental programs. We also love to be outdoors so you can catch us on the beach or in the mountains, as we love to do hikes or beach cleanups.
The Surfrider Foundation is a nonprofit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. This network is broken down into local county Chapters and student-led youth clubs.
We would appreciate any and all help for CI's BioBlitz 2022. Thank you!
