Halloween Headquarters: What's Your Spooky Style?
The season of ghosts, goblins, and endless candy brings out everyone's true preferences, from supernatural alter egos to favorite chocolate bars. We surveyed a few friends, Evan, Santiago, Hank, and Nico, to get their ultimate Halloween and holiday picks. The results reveal clear preferences for furry monsters, crunchy candy, and a good party atmosphere!
When faced with the ultimate supernatural choice—werewolf or vampire—the consensus was overwhelmingly in favor of the full moon.
Evan Tizapa-palestina prefers a werewolf, reasoning, "I don’t wanna be sucking blood as a vampire and I also won’t be able to come out when the sun is out."
Hank and Niko were in full agreement, with both stating they would "rather be werewolves."
While Halloween is the season of spooky fun, one respondent, Evan, had a pragmatic reason for favoring a different holiday:
Evan chooses Christmas because “I get presents."
Hank chooses Halloween because “I get candy.”
When it comes to the main event, a spirited celebration beats a scary challenge.
Evan and Santiago Linares both opt for a Halloween party. Evan loves that he gets to "have fun with friends," while Santiago noted, "haunted mazes are not fun but just scary."
A twist in the tale comes from Hank and Niko, who are "most likely to go to a haunted house on Halloween."
The classic Snickers versus Twix debate was decided by a love for texture:
Evan prefers Twix because it is "more crunchy than snickers."
Santiago also sides with Twix "because of its crunch and good taste."
The costume line-up for this year includes some great pop culture references:
Evan is planning to be Donkey from Shrek.
Santiago is leaning into the horror theme as Ghostface.
Hank will be Johnny Test, and Niko is channeling his inner hero as Ben 10.
Regarding the trick-or-treating ritual, Santiago would "rather give out candy" than collect it. And in a moment of honest self-assessment, Niko is "most likely to go trick-or-treating without a costume," while Hank is "most likely to forget to take off their costume after Halloween."
When it comes to dessert, both Hank and Niko favor pumpkin pie over apple pie.
Evan's favorite Halloween movie is the modern slasher film, Halloween Kills, because it is scary.
From their aversion to sunlight to their appreciation for a crunchy chocolate bar, these responses paint a clear picture of what makes a perfect spooky season!
