Skylanders are Back!

Is Skylanders coming back after almost 10 years?

If you don't know, Skylanders is a game franchise that started the toy to life genre. It’s when a toy you have physically can come to life digitally by scanning it. It’s also a continuation of the game Spyro the Dragon, a Playstation exclusive.

This theory of Skylanders coming back has only recently started, for two big reasons: 1. An old YouTube channel about Skylanders has made a new video after a couple of years, but in one of his new videos, he mentioned Skylanders 7, but he stopped himself before he finished.

2. They just released Skylanders Youtooz statues and plushes of some of the fan favorite characters.

The first thing we will talk about is the YouTube channel. The name of the channel is The Skylander Boy and Girl. After six or seven years the channel posted a new video in which Skylander Dad mentioned Skylanders 7. Was this a joke or is he serious? The consensus is that this was a clip farm (desperate acts for engagement), but there is still a chance he was serious and with the next part we’ll talk about there is a serious chance they might make this game.

Youtooz is a vinyl figure and plush company that bases their plushes and figures off of popular franchises. It recently made some plushes and figures based off of the Skylanders. They even made two waves of them. This is odd because most of the fandom are already old and haven’t released a new game in nine years. This could likely be them hinting towards another game but unfortunately and most likely, it’s just because the company needs money. After they disbanded with the big company, they are coming back for a new game but the chances it's a Skylanders game is low and it's most likely to be a new toys to life game. 

So the chances of Skylanders coming back is small, but the chances alone make Skylanders fans happy.
