Amongst all jobs, there is one specific one that is considered a job associated with the sea. Amongst the sea jobs, there is a certain one which is the Navy. The Navy is a maritime job that is meant to fight and defend the oceans to maintain freedom for all. Want a simple introduction to the Navy? This article is for you!

First, the Navy is one of the core branches of a nation’s armed forces, mostly designated for maritime warfare and defense, and is always active either on or under the ocean. It specializes in sea control and power projection. The main mission is to maintain, train, and have combat-ready naval soldiers to win wars and maintain freedom of the seas. It also includes vehicles like warships, submarines, and ships. 

Next, the positions and rankings which are very similar to other military jobs. The Enlisted are the E-1 to E-9. E-1 to E-3 are the apprenticeships. E-4 to E-6 are the non-commissioned officers. E-7 to E-9 are the Chief Petty Officers. CWO-2 to CWO-5 are the Warrant Officers. O-1 to O-10 are the Commissioned Officers. 

Lastly, in the US, the average salary for a beginner is around $53k to $60k, but this varies depending on role, position, service years, and specialization. Enlisted personnel earn from around $27.8k to over $120k. For the entry level, also known as the first level, the average annual salary is around $27k and more. For the experienced enlisted, they earn from around $120k and more. For the officers, they typically earn from $100k and $150k above. The overall salary range is $32k and $311k. 

The Navy is just one of the many sea jobs that people can take. Its main mission is to protect the oceans and secure freedom.
