Rylee Higashi

Rylee Higashi is an eighth grader who serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief and the Website Manager of the Bobcat Times. When the newspaper was first established, she played the role of Layout Designer. When the newspaper staff decided to expand the outreach of the paper, Rylee created the BJH Bobcat Times Website from the ground up, spending hours designing and perfecting the website. She posts and edits articles and makes sure that the site’s look and feel is consistent and works well with BJHS. Now that she has been appointed Co-Editor-in-Chief, Rylee also keeps the newsroom in order, helps with assigning articles, and makes sure that everyone’s ideas are heard and put into action.

When Rylee isn’t working on the paper, she is serving as the Vice President/Secretary of Show Choir Express, partaking in the National Junior Honors Society (NJHS), taking dance and acting classes and performing in community theater. 

For fun, Rylee loves reading (fantasy, dystopian, and biographical novels are her favorite), journaling, listening to music, and obsessing over everything there is to know about Disney parks.
