Biryani is a Persian-Indian dish rice dish which features a meat (usually chicken or goat) and a rice mix with spices. The dish is nothing short of historic and is widely regarded to be the best tasting food dish in the world, if not in Asia. The flavors of the tender meat which soak into the rice in a cooking technique known as "Dum" cooking give it its distinct flavor and aroma. Biryani as a rice dish originated in Persian culture and way brought up into India by Mughal Rule. The Mughals ruled in India from the early 1500s into the late 19th century. During this time the city of Hyderabad was the foremost center of Indian culture and through this area Biryani got popularized. Hyderabadi Biryani was often cooked in a style called "Dum Biryani" and is the most popular and tasty Biryani.
