Florida Tech Optronics lab

MISSION

Florida Tech Optronics Laboratory activities focus on the development of the state-of-the-art, multi-Tb/s hybrid optical transmission architectures. The research areas include the design and development of high-speed optical data transport by combing space division/spatial domain multiplexing (SDM), orbital angular momentum based multiplexing (OAM), modified optical PAM communication systems. Another area of current activities involves omnidirectional free space optical communication architectures.

SPIE/OSA STUDENT CHAPTER

SPIE Student Chapters are located in 47 countries around the world and are composed of more than 6400 students who participate in optics education outreach, professional development, and leadership in optics and photonics throughout the year. OSA supports an extensive global network of more than 370 Student Chapters. These chapters are managed for and by students, create valuable opportunities for professional development and foster lasting relationships between peers and mentors.
