TV / Multimedia Production

Television and Multimedia Production is a program designed to instruct students on the basic of the video and audio world.  This course focuses on the knowledge and operation of basic and state of the art video production equipment and theories.  Students develop entry-level skills in cinematography, editing, lighting, audio production, scriptwriting, broadcasting, on-air talent, and much more.  Students will be able to gain experience with graphics, special effects, and sound effects.   In addition to these things, a complete broadcast studio is on-site in the classroom for students to produce original programs.

The Television/Multimedia programs offers a Adobe Premiere Pro Associate Certification.   An Adobe Certified Associate will give you an edge over your competition when looking for jobs.

This program will provide an opportunity for students to receive articulated or dual enrollment credits with Frederick Community College (see Dual Enrollment link above).

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences provide a student Emmy contest to keep students engaged in the program, and it provides a common goal for students to team up and take a shot to win. We have received three student Emmy awards over the years, YOU could be the one to get us a forth!
