Penacook Elementary School Library

Welcome! Your child will visit the library once each week for 40 minutes. During this time together we will read exciting stories and your child will have the opportunity to borrow a book. Each book must be returned the following week. If your child would like to keep their book for an additional week, I will gladly renew it for them until they have finished it. I love to see students finish their books! In the event a book is forgotten the student will not be able to borrow another until the book is returned. Any lost or damaged books will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian to replace. Please watch for notices regarding your child's library materials as these do go home frequently. Students in kindergarten and first grade do not bring their books home. If you have any questions regarding your child and their library time, library books or my Fall Book Fair, please feel free to email me directly at or call me at 753-4891 X 263.

PES was so lucky to have author and illustrator Michelle Nelson-Schmidt visit our school on January 11, 2015! Ms. Michelle is best known for her beloved books, Jonathan James and the Whatif Monster and Bob is a Unicorn and Cordelia. She entertained us all with her artwork, read her books and shared messages of determination, overcoming fears, and believing in yourself! Ask about our pinky promise!
