Students will be introduced to many concepts like leadership, corporate structure, market planning, supply chain management, creative thinking, project management, marketing and advertising, strategy, venture capital and investments, stock market, capital structure, negotiation, pitching powerpoint decks, selling, creating business plans and executing them

Eligibility:

  • Currently be a junior or senior in high school

  • Be able to participate in an 8-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization and work 35 hours a week

  • Be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship through the end of September 2020

  • Be able to participate in a week-long Student Leaders Summit in Washington, DC (Summer 2020) (All expenses paid. This week will be part of your 8-week experience.)

  • Be a student in good standing at your school

  • Obtain a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator

Every year, through our Student Leaders program we help connect 225 community-minded high school juniors and seniors to employment, skills development and service. They're awarded paid summer internships with local nonprofits such as Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Habitat for Humanity and participate in a national leadership summit in Washington, D.C. The Student Leaders Summit focuses on skill building and creating a more civically engaged society.

The enterprise Leadership Conference in Silicon Valley is offering this FREE conference to 60 junior high school students. Students will learn about building their own business, marketing techniques, team building and more!

Eligibility:

Each applicant must be age 16 or older by the start of the program and will be graduating high school within the following two years.

Residential program for rising high school juniors and seniors that gives you real-world experience while building your business knowledge and entrepreneurial skills.

Eligibility: We look for academically motivated, mature students who are interested in attending a rigorous college prep summer business academy. B-BAY is for youth who want to develop their knowledge of business or have a passion for business. The application and accompanying materials should convey and communicate your level of maturity and motivation.

The Berkeley Business Academy for Youth introduces youth from around the world to the disciplines and skills that make business work. B-BAY students learn from professors who are at the top of their field and from youth mentors. Class projects and presentations give students hands-on experience in a safe learning environment-all on the vibrant UC Berkeley campus.
