How will I get my child’s schedule?
Schedule pick-up for traditional students will be on August 5th. To keep crowds to a minimum, please try to attend during your designated time. We also encourage only the student and one parent attend. Park & enter on the east side of the building.

MNMS Open House will be August 23, from 5:00-6:30 p.m.. Parents will have the opportunity to meet teachers at Open House.

Car riders/walkers will still be dropped of on the east side of the building, and bus riders will be dropped off in the front loop of the school and will enter the gym there. Once inside the building, students will go to assigned locations each morning and sit in seats that will be marked to remain as spread out as possible.

Students will travel along the right side of the hallways to promote one way traffic flow each direction. Students will not be permitted to congregate in the halls and will efficiently travel to class as best as they can.

The first day of any school year is always an.... adventure. We want our students and teachers to begin building quality relationships, while also establishing the building-wide expectations for the upcoming year.

We ask that only one parent or guardian come into the office to check out a student. You will need to have your ID with you. If there are already three people in the actual office, please wait in the foyer. If there are three people in the foyer, please wait in the entrance. Please attempt to stay spread out as much as possible at all times.

To begin the year - Car riders will be released from classrooms first on a schedule to minimize the number of students released all at once, and will exit through the east gym doors. The bus riders whose buses are already at North when the bell rings will be dismissed to go out through the front south doors. All remaining bus riders will remain in classrooms and will be called to the bus loading area as buses arrive. When 4 or fewer buses are left, the remaining bus riders will be released to the gym.

Yes. Breakfast is free for all students and will be available as a part of the normal morning routine. Breakfast will be served in Line 1 (the farthest north line). 7th Graders will eat breakfast in the north end of the cafeteria. 8th Graders will take their breakfast to the commons and sit along the west side.

Assemblies and other school-wide gatherings will be scheduled in such a way to limit the size of groups to allow for as much spacing as possible. School administrators will manage logistics with the safety of students at the forefront of decisions.

Yes. We will be using the cafeteria, commons and gym for lunch. All locations will be setup with a space in between each seat. There will be transitions built in during lunches to allow us to sanitize the cafeteria tables and the area students are eating in the gym after each lunch.

If weather permits, after students finish eating, students will be directed to the track. They will walk around it in the same direction. If the weather doesn't allow, students will remain seated until they are dismissed back to class. Students will be able to talk to those around them for the rest of the lunch period while staying seated.

Water fountains will be turned off. Bottle fillers will be on and available for hands free refilling of personal water bottles where available. Students are encouraged to bring their own bottle and not share with others.

High-touch surfaces will be regularly sanitized. Students will also be encouraged to regularly wash hands and keep hands clean throughout the day.

Be sure your student brings paper, folder(s), and a pen/pencil each day. On the first day of school, students will be given directions by their core teachers on what to do with their school supplies. Some supplies are kept by the student and some are left in their core classes. Students do not need to overload themselves will all supplies on the first day. What isn't brought on the first day can be brought on the second day.

Food will be consumed during lunch in either the cafeteria, commons, or gym. Food and water may be consumed outside of breakfast and lunch at teacher discretion.

All students will be connected to their teachers via Canvas, our learning management system, to promote a seamless transition from face-to-face learning to distance learning.

What happens if school has started and we change our mind and want our child to change the delivery of instruction? For example my child has started in virtual instruction but now want to move to traditional instruction.

Each delivery option will require a full semester commitment. A student will be able to change from virtual to traditional or vice versa for the second semester.
