I love teaching and I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children! My year-end goal is for your child to be a self-confident, academically strong and socially responsible child who is eager and ready to go to Kindergarten. With your help, the children and I will create a caring, child-centered, classroom community that supports their natural curiosity and love of learning. Thank you for entrusting your child to me this year! Here is some information about school. Please message me on ClassDojo (primary), ParentSquare or email me at Roberts-Tran_Tina@cusdk8.org if you have any questions or concerns. Please note that sometimes emails are sent to spam, so ClassDojo (once it is set up) or ParentSquare messages are preferred.

Decide: Do you need a hot lunch? Red option (Regular) or Green option (Vegetarian)?. *You can find the menu can be found at on the district website
Personal Belongings:

Snack and Lunch:
Breakfast & lunch will be provided free of charge for all MUSD students throughout
the 2025-26 school year. No sign-up is needed. The child must let the teacher know the morning of which option they would like for lunch (home lunch, regular (meat) or vegetarian.
School breakfast will be provided during the first recess time, however, home snacks are recommended since they only have 15 minutes to get the breakfast, eat, and play.
Please ensure home snacks and lunch (if applicable) are nutritious and healthy-no candy, etc.
If you send home lunch, please make sure students can carry their lunch and practice opening and closing the containers themselves.

Drop Off:
Drop-off begins at 8:00am. Gates will not open before 8:00am. Students will have from 8:00am - 8:12am to drop their belongings at their class lines and do their morning walk. It is important that your child arrive in class on time by 8:15.! After 8:15am, your child is considered tardy and should check in at the office before heading to their classroom.
There are 3 drop off locations : big parking lot at the front of the office on Washington Drive and Escuela Pkwy, half circle loop on Escuela Pkwy (designated TK/K pick up/drop off area), and behind the primary portables between Pomeroy and MHS. There are 3 schools on Escuela. Traffic picks up from 8:00-8:15am.
For the first 8 days, PLEASE DROP OFF YOUR TK STUDENT AT THE HALF CIRCLE LOOP ON ESCUELA PKWY ONLY and have them line up to the left side of the black gate. One of the TK teachers will meet your child at the gate, give a colored clothespin to clip on their clothes so we know what class they're in, and will instruct them on where to go next. Please note that both teachers are unable to greet the first day at the gate due to supervision duty on the blacktop.
Parents are not allowed to enter beyond the gates onto campus grounds unless heading to the office.
Once students enter the gate, they are to drop their belongings on a line at their class line up area (first 3 days). Teachers and aides will be there to help the TK students. By August 18, the students will need to drop off their belongings on a line and join the morning circle.
Pick Up:
Dismissal is at 1:20 pm for TK/K everyday unless it is a minimum day (11:30am dismissal).
Please keep traffic in mind and try to arrive early to ensure your child is picked up on time. Teachers will be out for 10 minutes after the dismissal time before the students are taken to the office to get picked up along with a message on ClassDojo and/or ParentSquare.
Pick Up Signs
For the first 7 days of school, please create your child’s pick up sign that has your child’s name, teacher, and room number.
For the pick up sign, please use a standard 8.5 x11 inch paper and a black marker. If your child is in Mrs. Robert’s class, please try to use a yellow paper if possible. If your child is in Mrs. Robles’/Ms. Orlando’s class, please use a blue paper if possible. Please do not use a cell phone to display their names.
Class colored pick up cards will be distributed on Friday, August 22nd once permanent classes are created.
Please ensure that if your child is getting picked up from a family member or daycare, they have a pick up sign.
You can pick up your child by driving or walking. Those DRIVING need to stay in their cars and those WALKING need to line up along the black fence.
Everyone needs to have a pick up card in order to pick up a child. If driving, the placard should be on the front, right side of your dashboard. If walking, the placard should be in your hand.
