Registration Information

2017-18 Registration Fair Information

Step #1: To register your student at TRMS, you must first complete an online process through AERIES. If your student attended Russell or an MUSD elementary last year, click here MUSD Yearly Registration. You will need the information mailed to your home in August. If you are having trouble, please attend parent training Aug. 8 from 5-7 p.m.

Families new to the Milpitas Unified School District will need to complete a longer process by using this link New Student Enrollment. Families new to Milpitas will also need to provide the information detailed below to register new students.

New Student Checklist:

  • Proof of Student's age: Legal evidence of age is birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport, immigration certificate, or affidavit from the parent/guardian.
  • Parent/guardian valid state or government picture ID
  • Proofs of residency (2 proofs required - one from Group A and one from Group B)
    • Group A
      • Mortgage Statement
      • Rental Agreement
      • Property Tax Statement
        • Additional proofs of residency or residency forms may be required
    • Group B
      • Current Utility Bill
      • Current PG&E Bill
  • Immunization Record
    • TDAP Shot
    • Updated TB (Mantoux) required if student has been out of the county, state, or country.
  • Name, address, and phone number of previous school. You must also complete the MUSD Parent Release of Information Sheet.
  • Withdrawal papers from previous school.
  • Transcripts/last Report cards if previous school is an elementary school
  • California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Proficiency Level Report for 2nd Language Speakers
  • Special Education Information (if applicable)
    • Copy of Current IEP or copy of current 504 Plan
    • Copy of Current Psycho-Educational Report
    • Exchange of Information Form completed and signed (MUSD Student Services Form)
    • Interim Administrative Placement Form completed and signed (MUSD Student Services Form)

Step #2: Print and bring signed copy of emergency card to Registration Fair.

  • 7th Grader Registration Fair Schedule: On August 10th, all 7th grade students go to Russell’s gym at scheduled time below for the entire time period listed. There, students will submit signed copy of emergency card, take yearbook photo, receive ID card, class schedule, and receive an orientation from a school WEB Leader.

Group #1: Last Names A-F 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Group #2: Last Names G-L 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Group #3: Last Names M-O 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Group #4: Last Names P-S 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Group #5: Last Names T-Z 2:30-3:30 p.m.

  • 8th Graders Registration Fair Schedule: On August 11th, 8th grade students go to Russell’s gym at scheduled time below. There, students will submit signed copy of emergency card, take yearbook photo, receive ID card, and class schedule. Once you have received your ID and class schedule, you must leave campus. New 8th grade students will have orientation after receiving ID card.

Group #1: Last Names A-D 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Group #2: Last Names E-K 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Group #3: Last Names L-N 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Group #4: Last Names O-S 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Group #5: Last Names T-Z 2:30-3:30 p.m.
